Bobby Lockhart
is an award-winning game designer with a background in filmmaking and computer science. His focus is on learning-games, which have spanned from early childhood numeracy to career training. He has also made many games for unconventional hardware, including the Osmo, VR headsets, and Alexa, as well as custom-built Alt.Ctrl devices, which have been exhibited around the globe. He is best known for games that teach programming, including Codemancer, Ozaria, and CodeCombat Worlds. He currently leads Important Little Games, a small freelance game design and development company. He is based in Chicago with his wife, Courtney, and his daughter, Sona.
Eric Lang
is an award-winning game designer and art director at Field Day Lab, where he helps lead the creation of artful, story-driven learning games played by millions of players each year ranging from 4k to higher education. With a background in graphic design, web design, and writing, Eric focuses on designing narrative-rich, practice-based experiences that engage players through meaningful play. His work has earned recognition from Serious Play, Games for Change, and nominations for both a Peabody Award and a Unity Award. Eric has collaborated with groups like PBS, Harvard University, IEEE, and the National Science Foundation. He lives in Wisconsin with his wife, Sarah, and their children.
